Can i change it when the computer is running?
I posted about this some time ago but my Acer AP43 486 pci board will not run my AMD 5x86 133mhz correctly with a multiplier of 4x.
It is acting strange, hd will not work and l1 cache is ''off'' (greyed out in bios). Very slow performance.
With a multi of 3x it is running fine and pretty fast, even 3x40 and 3x50mhz is no problem. But i want to use the 4x40mhz setting for optimal performance, as 3x 50mhz needs some very slow memory settings to be stable.
So, can i boot it at 3x multi and after post set the multi at 4x? It can be done by using the turbo button on the right jumper but i don't want to risk damaging this board!
