Using a ThinkVision LT1913p 76Hz IPS monitor with my retro computers. As many of you might know, it's often possible to "overclock" monitors by manually changing signal parameters, and get higher refresh rates than the monitor specs allow with modern operating systems/GPU drivers. I'm a complete newbie in this field, just went with whatever parameters someone else confirmed working for my monitors, without having a clue what I was really doing, on my main computer. Running my 1080p@60Hz specced monitors in 1080p@75Hz, and now I want to do something corresponding with my retro computer monitor.
My questions are perhaps stupid, but how do you go about this in DOS and W98, if it's even possible? And does anyone know about a good guide explaining this stuff in detail? Would be nice to squeeze out a few extra hertzes from the aforementioned monitor, actually learn what I'm doing, and how to anticipate settings that might work with my specific monitor 😀
If it's of any importance, the GPU:s I want to do it with are a GF Ti4200 and a GF Ti4600. My preferred Forceware version is 45.23, but could of course go with something newer if necessary.
