I have a PAS-16 650-0042-01-N aka FCC ID: IXW-PAS16P
that I want to put in a 486/33MHz with DOS 6.22.
I may install Windows 3.1 later, but for now it's just DOS 6.22.

It has a useless LMSI port that I'd like to disable.

Stason has what looks like this card at
http://stason.org/TULARC/pc/sound-cards-multi … ON-CD16-19.html

At the bottom of the Stason.org webpage is a section for
"CD-ROM INTERRUPT SELECTION" that I'm guessing has to do
with setting an IRQ for a CD drive attached to the LMSI connector.
If I leave all the pins on J14 open, would that disable the
LMSI connector and keep it from using up an IRQ?

I'm also wondering which drivers to use from
https://www.vogonsdrivers.com/index.php?catid=40

When I extract the download for
"Media Vision Pro Audio Spectrum 16"
I get a folder with over 1.8MB in it which doesn't fit
on a floppy. Would I divide that into two floppies, copy
to a folder on the hard drive, and install from there?

The "Media Vision Pro AudioSpectrum drivers" download unzips to
floppies 1 and 2, but I don't know if it is for the 8-bit version of the card
or the 16-bit version.

I don't think so. I have this very card and it is jumpered just like yours (IRQ 6 for SCSI CD-ROM).
I don't know. Maybe it is just a coincidence.

Yeah, divide 1,8Mb (1,0Mb and 0,8Mb).
It's not my concern, maybe you're just testing the sound card or in preparations or like floppy disks, but I strongly recommend a CF to IDE adapter. Install DOS on the CF card and off you go. Really, very easy. No more floppies.

Download this:
"Media Vision Pro Audio Spectrum 16"

Thanks. I'll try those drivers.
Too bad I can't disable that LMSI.
