I have a question. If I would have that PCMCIA PCI card in my dos 7.10 computer, and I would want to use my Roland SCP-55. What drivers I should use in DOS? Put PCI PCMCIA drivers + SCP drivers in config sys?
Is it worth getting that PCI card, or better to install mt-32?

If you can find an ISA PCMCIA controller, you'd have better luck - PCMCIA is basically an extension of the ISA bus, so you just need DOS 5+'s built-in PCMCIA drivers for those. For a PCI card, you'd need to find one that specifically has DOS drivers.

You'll need an updated version of a Socket and Card Services compatible software with support for your particular chipset.
The only one I know of is Cardware 7 for DOS/Win3x from http://www.tssc.de/
It's not free but there's a trial version available and it supports a lot of PCMCIA and Cardbus chipsets.
Here's a direct link to the list of supported chipsets:

And there are no such things as built-in PCMCIA drivers in DOS, the best thing you can have is a point enabler for your particular device that will work with only one chipset, usually for the Intel 82365 or a Databook one.
