Was previously called Anybody got the drivers for DTC2278D?

Skip from here - - - -

I have a DTC2278D VLB dual channel IDE card that needs Win95 drivers for it's second channel. I don't have them as I bought it second hand with no drivers and I can't find them anywhere.

I tried the Win95 driver for dual channel PCI cards, but it complained about some devices on the card using compatibility mode drivers while some were using 32 bit drivers. No clue how to resolve that, it's a standard VLB M/I/O controller with gameport, com 1 and 2, and LPT1 onboard, so if I can somehow change those to using 32 bit drivers or something, idk.

If someone has a universal VLB driver for dual channel IDE controllers, that may also work, I can try, but this is not doing that for now.

It's not a major loss, my AWE32 has an IDE controller onboard (ISA only though, so slower performance), but I would like to get this device working.

So I have a DVD drive for my VLB enabled 486 machine running Win95B, but I can't find drivers for the DVD functionality, which sucks since it would be the best way for me to transfer files to that computer since CD-RWs are boringly slow to burn.

So how would I go about getting drivers to work for that?

Try this one. If it doesn't work let me know, I have one more zip file.

Seems to work. Need to try it outwith dual channel once I manage to find another IDE cable.

seriously, I have tons when I don't need any, and the moment I try to look for one, they are all gone. 😜

It works. A note for anybody installing this, you need to install it through the add/remove hardware panel, and you need to install it twice, once on interrupt 14, and once on interrupt 15. 14 is the driver for the first channel, 15 is for the second channel.

I say this because I often turn to old VOGONS posts in order to solve my problems, so a bit of help for people with this card.

So what happens now when you try to read a DVD? Can you see anything with Isobuster? (Isobuster works independently of the filesystem drivers.)

I can definitely say that Win9x did not support UDF, so if you try to read a multisession DVD, you will only see the first session.

Adaptec had a driver for reading UDF on Windows.

I have traveled across the universe and through the years to find Her.
