Hi, I got a LCD display LG Flatron L1919S from dumpster yesterday and it was, of course, not workingm didn't power up at all. So I pulled it apart, typical problem, bloated caps. Bought them, replaced them, display is working like charm. But since it came out of a recycling center it does not have stand/leg/base/how you want to call it, that square thingy which supports it standing. Do you have an idea where to search? No luck on ebay...

Does it have 4 screw holes on the back in a square roughly 10cm apart? If so it has a VESA mount point, so a VESA display stand will work. Otherwise its probably proprietary, and will be harder to find.

Yep, that's a VESA mount. Apologies they come in 7.5cm x 7.5cm too, I've only used 10cm x 10cm. Unsure what their proper technical names are.

You are perfectly right, but good grief, they are pricey! I don't want overengineered gizmos, I just need to get the monitor standing, but I don't want to attach it to the table. Is there any cheap one I can buy? I don't want to invest a fortune into something that came out of the dumpster 😉

Yeah, the problem is shipping on both of these is bigger then the cost itself...

The screw holes above are also of a standard size.
If you look for 2nd hand or cheap generic monitor stand you should be ok.
(and of course you will be able to use on future monitors as well)
