How to load soundfonts (SF2) to SB32 CT3600 in WinME? I can't find any utility, though WinME regonized the card and installed the drivers. I tried install some utilities which I found from "TheMAN's SB16 and AWE Compilation CD"(vogonsdrivers) like Soundfont Manager/AWE Control Panel etc. but most of them are for WIN9x and not working.

Windows ME IS a version of Win9x. If they don't work it's possibly an issue with your drivers, not your installation of Windows ME.

The AWE control panel is often the one that works the best, but if it works fine in every game/program you've tried, and not a single control panel works, it's possibly Windows ME. It was broken when it came out, and broken when support what dropped. It's for the adventurous, and those who want to waste a lot of time for petty victories.

Windows ME's more strict WDM driver model rejects the driver installation of the AWE VXD driver (from an AWE64 CD) so there's no way AWE Control can work with WinME's provided WDM AWE driver, even if you "update driver" on it from disc.

tl;dr: haha win me suck's lol it buggy XD

Ok, is there any third party program that I can use load them? Or do I have to instal Win98SE to get that AWE utility working?

I found Creative SoundFont Bank Manager 3.21.02 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wcsH6bpvTg0 but when I try open it after instal "microsoft visual c++ runtime library error" & ctaudep.dll will shut down. I think that version is for WinXP/Win7? Then I found older SoundFont Bank Manager 1.00.14 for Windows 98 SE/ME/2000/X http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/83419-audigy-drivers/ but when try to instal, it says "no necessary hardware detected". I also found SoundFont AudioHQ http://support.creative.com/kb/ShowArticle.aspx?sid=5184 but where get it?

Those are for newer Live!+ series cards with EMU10K+, not AWE hardware.

There's an option to bypass the Windows driver checking when installing VxD drivers, I use it with my Awe64 and it works at should be (Control panel, soundfonts, etc.). You only have to choose the right driver on the Windows control panel, and when you're asked to confirm the new driver over the default one, there's an option to ignore Windows driver checking. It should allow you to use VxD drivers with no problem at all.

Thx for advice, but I kind of solved this by myself? I installed AWE64 software from "TheMAN's SB16 and AWE Compilation CD" just to see what happens. During installation, this pops up "SBAWE.VXD not installed" (or was it .DRV etc, cant remeber). Now AWE control panel and soundfonts worked! There was some hanging notes on part 10? Very noticeable if song had a drum plates. I just go to control panel, multimedia&sound where I disabled WDM drivers. No more hanging.
