hello all, i have an old pentium II 300mhz system that i just got, and im looking through my parts bin and i have a few graphics cards and a few sound cards that i could use in that system, the motherboard is a micro star ms6111, it has dip switches for cpu clocks and the max the boards switches support is 333mhz, im pretty sure my pII slot 1 cpu is a 300mhz chip because when i set the switches for 333mhz it sets the cpu clock to 166mhz, so i went back to 300mhz, i have a crappy riva tnt2 m64, as well as an ATi rage 2c, but after watching philscomputerlab video on the ATi Rage 128 pro 32mb with video input, i jumped on ebay and ordered one, i paid $.99 but spent $10 on shipping 🤣, i have a few sound cards to use in this system, i have a sound blaster live! ct4780, i think its a value card, not sure, i have a turtle beach montego II vortex 2, a turtle beach santa cruz, and a ensonic es1370 audio pci, i dont like the midi sounds of the ensonic, its missing notes in doom, i want to use the sound blaster live! ct4780 but the Sound Blaster Live! Install SB0220 drivers found on vogonsdrivers is lacking sound blaster emulation for DoS mode, can anyone shoot me any tips on using this sound card with DoS emulation, and any tips on any upgrades, can the cpu be replaced to something with a higher clock? can this P2 be overclocked, i don't have much experience with slot 1 systems, any help on supping up this machine would be really helpful, i really wanted to use the turtle beach montego 2 in my p4 machine that i have setup for early 3d gaming, but if it would be better used in the p2 system ill try to get another one, thanks in advance
