Alright, I'm venturing into overclocking territory now and I want to make sure I'm not gonna fry the board and/or kill the CPU.

In my 98 PC, I've got an ABIT BE6 mobo, and an Intel Pentium III 600E MHz. ABIT has excellent overclocking features in the BIOS and allows you to change the CPU voltage, multiplier, and other things.

The CPU is a 1.65 volt model, and I've got it running currently at 1.70 volts. It used to default to 400 MHZ for some reason, but it now defaults to 600.

How much higher can I get before the stability is affected? I don't want to fry anything but a speed boost would be very nice.

Oh yeah, specifically it's a Pentium III 600E/256/100/1.65V

Results will often vary from CPU to CPU even within the same lot. Just start slow and slowly ramp it up. You will start having stability problems before you damage the CPU.
