Long time lurker, first time poster. Thought I could contribute here at the least. I've been hoarding wallpapers for a long time now. I have a lot more I can share, but I'll need to dig up old HDDs first. Here I've got some official Nvidia/ATI/AMD wallpapers from 1999 - 2006ish.

A couple of these have already been posted, but these are all the original copies in all their original resolutions (maybe missing some. had them for so long now I'm not 100% sure anymore). Just click the image to open the full imgur album. Apologies in advance for the long post. 😊

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. Dug up a couple more on another hard drive. I know I've still got plenty more out there.

As a side note, I also found a lot of old screensavers from companies such as Matrox, ATI and Nvidia. Also found some Win95/98/NT Theme packs from ATI as well.

Got some more. Variations of some of some Nvidia wallpapers without logos and in high resolution, from the .psd files Nvidia gave out to any company selling Nvidia cards to use in advertisements. So if you want to make your own, this is the best way 😀

Holy cow! Thank you x0zm_!
It's really great that all those masterpieces have survived!
The ATI Aqua Rage 128 reminded me of some Fury MAXX wallpaper that I couldn't find at any mirrored ATI's website of the time - could you have it saved somewhere?
While looking for it I managed to download the complete pack of the Aqua theme from here: http://web.archive.org/web/20000302000407/htt … a/download.html
Unfortunately only in 1152x864 - the higher 1600x1200 archive has not been mirrored completely due to the 1Mb limit of the Wayback Machine... 🙁
Please find attached the downloaded 1152x864 archive!

Sure. It'll take me awhile to get them altogether and upload them since it'll likely be a couple of GB at least and my Internet isn't the greatest. Hopefully I can do it this weekend.

Posting this request here as requested for/by Kanecvr

1.) NVIDIA nForce 680i SLI wallpaper
2.) ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650 "N7 Normandy from Mass Effect" Wallpaper

1440x900/16:10

ok - got one of your requests ready:

16:10 1440x900:

abwg_R1_16.10.jpg

16:9 1920x1080:

abadonwareguy_request1.jpg

If you want the logo's moved to a specifc position, let me know. Also, what background image would you like for the 680i SLi? Nvidia promo materials, an actual motherboard shot or something from a game?

Oldskoolmaniac wrote:

I use that some wallpaper on my laptop, but when i use that on my s3 video card the color is so bad cause of video card only being in 16bit high color

The source image itself is 16 bit. Let me see if I can convert it to PNG or BMP - that might fix the color issues.

EDITED - OK, try this one - it's a 16 bit BMP - it should look OK:

dell_1.rar

I had to archive it since vogons won't allow .bmp files, and image hosting sites would convert it to .jpeg - witch causes some artifacting when displaying a 24 bit image in 16 bits (under win9x at least).

maverick85 wrote:

Does anyone have one of the 'Time Computers' wallpapers? It's basically a lime green wallpaper with time computers hourglass logo scatterred on it. can't find it anywhere.
Also, the gateway 2000 cow logos..

I can't find any either. One would have to be made, but that would require a bit of research into the company - and I'd also need to know what resolution you want it to be, as well as general design (some image bits should help). I could make a simple one say 1024x768 - 16 bit or 24 bit bitmap of a lime green gradient, the time computer logo in one corner and say and hourglass in the center or somewhere.

Sorry for the delay.

Same resolution for the 680i Wallpaper. Preferably NVIDIA promo material.

Just saying, I think sites like imgur and photobucket often recompress files and mess with the metadata to shrink filesizes, so having a way to get x0zm_'s "originals" is good. 😀 No rush though, it really doesn't matter a whole lot.

Here's my Nvidia PSD files that I have, from 2002-2006. Has some wallpapers, advertisement templates with high res images, .ai and .psd files for some of the GeForce2/3/4/Quadro badges to put on wallpapers. I think there's also some high res .tif photos of different cards, silicon wafer shots and other things that'd make neat wallpapers. These were all freely given away about 10-15 years ago by contacting Nvidia and weren't under any sort of NDA or distribution agreement, so there is no issue distributing them. Most people just forget they existed.

Also have my screensavers. A bit off topic but most of them match their wallpaper counterparts. Have ATI, Nvidia and Matrox. The Matrox ones are designed for certain OS's and cards, and they are specified in their readme files.

As always, please virus scan before using anything from the Internet.

Matrix/ATI/Nvidia Screensavers: https://mega.nz/#!r0owlbzI!CTmvrkPqPuLKoFcP12 … DpflXc3e89wEfNQ

I'll continue to work compiling more of what I have and uploading when I can.

Enjoy!
