I have an AOpen CustomPC Pentium4 box I can't get to boot off of a burned CD. It's a homemade Windows XP setup disc, but it is supposedly "bootable" and even copying the files to the HDD itself doesn't work. I'm stuck 🙁

Specs:
AOpen AX45-533 U2 Socket478 mobo
Pentium4 2.53GHz
2GB RAM
AOpen GeForce4 MX 440 64MB AGP
3x CD (DVD-ROM, CD-RW, DVD-RW)
80GB HDD

What did you use to create this homemade bootdisk?
And before burning the actual media, it's always a good idea to test it in Virtual PC first (unless you're in dire need of lots of extra coasters 😜).

How did you proceed? Does an original XP disk work?

Whats missing in your collections?

I need to test it in virtual PC actually 🤣

But it is an ISO image of an XP install disc which I lost a while ago - I have to buy another one I think 🤣
