Surfing the net I found that opty 185 can easily hit 3ghz, I was trying to do that with a 285.
I am setting up a period correct AMD rig, in particular the most powerful 2005 PC, so I am looking for a pair of g92 cards (or two gx2) for SLI, maxing out a cheap Opty 285.
Using 939 is a no go because cpus are way too expensive and don't like 8gb of ram.
The Foxconn I found seems perfect and really full of Features so I stick happily with it.

Interesting. Maybe your cooling is better than mine. Or maybve your motherboard more robust. What CPU voltage are you using and what are you overclocking on the motherboard, e.g. the buses, memory, etc?

The memory is set to 333mhz, no overvolt on it obviously.
The Opty is at 2.860mhz 220x13 at 1.4volt. I fail to be Rock solid at 230x13 even with 1.5v. I don't want to go over 1.5.
The Foxconn has some nice options for overvolting about everything but I have not touched the chipsets yet (there are two nforce pro chips).

The results you posted are obtained with a qx9770 (and a total different platform).

True.
I just want to show, what it can do on different platform (with x4 PCI-e slot) 😀

Here's my 3DMark 06 score on it (13 104 pkt) : LINK
And for comparison, a PDC E5800 4GHz (11 910 pkt), same platform : LINK
It's better to compare SM2.0 and/or HDR scores - math formula for 3DM06 combined/overall score uses CPU Score.

Thank you, but again, it's a heavily overclocked 775 system.
A comparison would be extremely relative at best.
