So I picked up an Asus N4L-VM for cheap on ebay (20 USD) because I noticed it was Socket 479 and I love Pentirum M stuff. Of course what I didn't notice is that this was a 945 mobile chipset rather then an 855gme. Looks like it only supports Core Solo, Celeron, and Core Duo. the motherboard CD has Windows 98 drivers though 😀. Anyone messed with early Core mobile CPUs? Is it as overclock-able as the Pentium M. I don't see a whole lot about merom and yonah Core CPUs. Doesn't look like there is much difference between them besides that merom is 64bit. Thinking of running a Yonah core for the sake of running one of the last pure 32bit CPUs.
