Hi all! As im going everyday in my working room and i see there my old broken socket 939 system. There is msi k8n neo4 platinum with non working sata ports. I still will rebuild the system but there is not reasonably priced mobo in my area. I came across this board but not buyed it yet. Is it any good? Or should i just buy a sata pcie card and stick with it. Thanks for answer.

the a8n5x is a mediocre board at best.

The best 939 motherboards I've ever had the pleasure of using are (in order of performance/features/reliability):

1. ABIT Fatal1ty AN8 SLi - best 939 motherboard ever made. Period.
2. ASUS A8N-SLi Premium - my second favorite favorite 939 boards, and my favorite ASUS board by far (and that's saying a lot since I'm not much of an ASUS fan, but this board is awesome).
3. ABIT AN8-32X - great board. Should be easyer to find then the Fatal1ty version.
4. MSI K8N Neo4 SLi Platinum - very very fast and great overclocker

You forgot the DFI LanParty, which is arguably the best.

I did didn't I - great boards, particularly the DFI LANPARTY UT nF4 Ultra-D - but I still prefer the Abit Fatal1ty over it - no logical reason, since the DFI performs every bit as well.
