So, there is no REAL differences with official 1.0.3?

Latest on Roland US site is 1.06. Web says 1.05 but dll version is actually 1.06. Not sure what 1.06 brought or what 1.07 brings.

1.10 is released, 64-bit only, i guess.

Apparently they're only updating the Cloud version now. The Trial downloads are still 1.0.3. Because they can't get any greedier than local software as a service.

Interesting. So I pay $125 up front for something to support Roland, as I've been waiting for this since my SCB-55 broke in like 1997. Then I pay another 19.95 per month since standalone versions are lagged. Sweet!

Ah well. I don't trust the source of the other channels. I'll try writing Roland support but I feel I know what the answer will be. I suppose 1.06 is fine for the minimal DOS gaming I do. Definitely not worth paying again for another version.

Really? Can you elaborate on that a bit? WOX is one of my all time favorites and I play it frequently. I've been using SC VA with Falcosoft Midiplayer4 to enable CTF. Is it possible to test whether the 1.06 version of SC VA is playing correctly with WOX? Cheers.

Capital tone fallback has NOT been fixed and will never be, because it's not part of the hardware.
And no, SC-55 drum velocity has not been fixed either.

So its capital tone fallback fix this issue? I also enabled this fix in FCMP (frankly don't know what IS CTF 😊 )
But i can record some gameplay from Swords of Xeen with RSC 1.10 for example, if you want.

@James-F are you running with v1.10 on Roland Cloud? If so, do you know if there are any diffences from the latest standalone version?

What about old Edirol VSC (5 mb vsc.dll)? I have tested it again yesterday and seems it sounds like SC-55 (cymbals at DOOM E1M1 from 9th sec.).

Working in XP?!
All versions of SCVA I have tested DONT work in WinXP (no sounds).

All legitimate versions of SC-VA work in XP but only in trial mode. So the 10 min/session restriction is active, but the 14 day limit is not (most likely because of the activation component's incompatibility).

You should not install it under XP, just use the '...\Roland\Sound Canvas VA' folder's content of your legitimate copy.

I do not understand why and what I should share.
On Roland's website the non-cloud downloadable version is still v1.0.3.
It could be deceptive that the installer's version is 1.1.0.0, but the content is still the old version 1.0.3.
