Nice! Says something about the company. They just went up a few rungs in my book.

I'm more surprised at them having stock with which to replace it than anything else.

The amazing part, according to the Twitter chatter about this, is that they no longer "exist as a data storage entity", and their former headquarters in Oakdale, MN has been abandoned for some time.

Someone forgot to tell Larry in the back that they shut down. He keeps showing up and doing his job.

Hadn't realized Imation more or less closed up shop - that explains why Best Buy isn't selling Memodreck disks anymore 😉 I looked up special products llc and found this ebay store:

Amazing story! 😁

And it's the second company that I today found out about that kinda quit the PC component market (after Club 3D sadly seems to have also removed a lot of mention about their graphics card stuff).

'Imation'. The name really brings lots of memory, although at that time, my favorite hard drive manufacturer was actually Maxell because of their (perceived) durability.

Never thought this thread would be that long, but now, for something different.....
