Hello,

I have an Acer Acros 575DB:

Socket 5 Pentium 75Mhz,
24Mb RAM
2.4GB hard disk (not original, from 1997)

The internal parts are from late 1994 and early 1995, and that's why I am running MS-DOS 6.22 and Windows 3.1 because while it was getting close, Windows 95 was not out yet.

Right now, I am installing Windows NT 3.5, but I will eventually be going back to DOS and 3.1.

Anyways, I also have an ATI Mach64 that I want to use in it, but even when I set the jumpers to disable the onboard video, I still get nothing on screen using the card.

I did some research and apparently with certain acer models there is drivers issue's with Mach64's, but I didn't find anything about any compatibility issue regarding not getting any image on screen and monitors still being on standby.

My friends at my local repair shop said it may be a compatibility issue, but I doubt it because it works on both my 486 board, and my Celeron board.

Now ironically I have the 1mb version of the Mach64, and my onboard Cirrus Logic GD4543 is 2mb, both don't do 3D Acceleration. The onboard video is better and I will be sticking with it, but I still want to figure this video card problem out.

After you disabled the onboard VGA and had Mach64 plugged in, does the onboard VGA port still output signal?
Does the computer work with other PCI video cards?

I'll try to find the only other PCI video card I have.
