390 $ for ATI RADEON 7500 PCI and there is only one left for sale... what is a reasonable price for that card?

Someone is selling it for almost twice as much here:

I'm thinking a lot of these outrageously priced things on eBay are being used for money laundering.

Isn't money laundering strictly about actual physical cash?

Well, not necessarily.

We will take a drug deal for example.

1. Dealer posts crazy expensive sale on eBay that no sane person would buy.
2. Dealer's customers know who the seller is and prices they charge for different things.
3. Customer buys said "overpriced item".
4. Dealer does a drop to some pre-agreed upon place that both the dealer and customer know about.

No way to trace the money back to a drug sale. So the money is "clean".

Same could be done for bribes, extortion, other illegal items, etc.

The parties in question never actually meet face to face and thus cannot be easily connected. The eBay seller account could have a false address, use a fake identity for banking purposes as could the buyer.

A sting or mole would make such a money laundering scheme fail rather fast. That and with it all done out in the open makes it hard to hide what your doing.

Also note that paypal requires your SSN for any transaction over 1k or to withdrawal over 1k in a month ether from a bank or to your bank.
A better idea would be to have the money laundered through multiple smaller sales around 500$-1k.

Reminds me of that episode of Narcos where Escobar is showing Gacha and his dog the speedboat. Mixed right into the fiberglass.

It is a mistake to think you can solve any major problems just with potatoes.

IDK whether that's outrageous or not, NIB can easy go 3 or 4 times higher than just good condition for anything, and good condition complete P60 might go for $300, no? I mean it's higher than I'd pay for one personally, especially if I was intending to power it on. If I was trying to create a well curated collection for the ages, i.e. other ppl than just myself, I might think $1000 was pretty good. I would also worry it's "cheap enough" for a hollywood prop buyer to consider, to feature in some 20 second scene setting throwaway clip in a movie set in 1995, like kid gets new computer rips box apart etc...

"Oh, $8.99 isn't too bad, I can swing that for sure. Much better than the $30 NewEgg wants for the same thing. Let's just see how much shipping to Canada is...."

I just checked, and he does do free shipping within continental United States (go figure), so I think I might be using a relative's address for this one...
