Just got an HP OmniBook 500ct with the crazy pop out mouse from the right hand side of the computer. I also got the CD Rom drive and base station. The restore disk was in the drive so if anyone needs one I can image it. Also, it was kind of cool to find that this particular computer belonged to a man that was a higher up in Dallas Semiconductors and all his valuable info and e-mails regarding work and the merger to another company is finely detailed on the dive. I would never give out this info, but thought it was cool to see that the computer was used by someone in the computer business and a big player at that time.

If anyone wants me to post the OmniBook background screen let me know, its a real cool one.

From the P5A CD, date of the bmp is 1996

Cool one on the P5A! But I am sure motherboard date will be 1998?

Thought I'd put in my Windows 98SE background I'm using on my retro gaming rig. I took a much larger image file, scaled it down to 1024x768 (4:3), then changed the text areas from their shrunken size back to their original size.

The attachment V2SLI.jpg is no longer available

Instead of the useless intel PIII logo, you can add there Glide, or something like Quantum 3D...

This is great! Do you happen to have a copy of that but with the Pentium 2 logo instead of the 3?

Are there any official 3Dfx wallpapers from the original Voodoo years (1996-1997)? It seems most I've found are Voodoo 2 and on.

There are wallpapers of 3dfx logos and wallpapers from OEMs at the time, but I never seen one for the voodoo1 from 3dfx or any that straight up mentioned the voodoo 1 by name.

Things like this is about as close as it gets.

Hey all.

I've been collecting these kinds of OEM patterns for awhile now and stumbled across your thread.

The patterns/tiles were sourced from here, ex-vtc, and a ton of other random old OS ISO's and places around the 'net (mostly through the internet archive). Enjoy.

That looks so familiar! I have a feeling maybe a friend of mine had it as their desktop wallpaper back in the day. Definitely seen it before.

Go look at http://www.digitalblasphemy.com/ for more familiarities, then.
