VOGONS

Hiya,

I installed DOSBox yesterday and played a few games which I remembered from my early childhood (Interpose & Traffic Department 2192 to be exact). The problem doesn't lie within playing any of the games, DOSBox works perfectly for me.

The real problem is that when I booted up my computer again this morning Windows gave me an error that said "The current VGA display drivers are not compatible with this version of Windows, they have been designed for a previous version of Windows blah blah". I've just done reinstalling the video card drivers and rebooting, but I thought that I might just report this error to the boards.

My video adapter is ATI Radeon 9800 PRO (Catalyst 5.3), and I'm running Windows XP SP2.

Gah. Forgot to mention that I'm now stuck in 4 bit color depth mode with 800x600 resolution. Too bad guests can't edit posts :g

What windows version do you have? I think DOSBox doesn't have nothing to do with that. Maybe you video card is overheating or you have some hardware issues somewhere else.

PS - Latest Catalyst are 5.7
