I will take a look but IIRC there content is already mirrored on the internet archive.

Why can't you use MobyGames? You can filter by platform and year. It is fairly complete.

That's not the point. The point is artwork, and ads, and history, and preserving it all, and making it all accesible from one location.

Yes that one location is called mobygames.com. Catalogues are only going to give you lists, maybe an ad here and there. Mobygames already has things like game box covers, trivia, reviews, screenshots, system requirements etc.

I guess I am a bit confused as what you are trying to achieve that mobygames does not already have? If you mean to purely gather any and all game catalogues then yes, I don't think this has been done in a public way, and it could be useful.

Yep that's the idea. But it doesn't look like in going to get the community backing needed for such an undertaking.

Don't get me wrong, any effort you put into finding more information about the games is welcome! Unfortunately, back to the point, I do not know of any archives, however if I find anything, I will mention it here to be of help to you.

I will have to take a look through my stuff at some point. I might have a few old catalogs that came with games from back in the day.
