Heah,

I actually don't like the game. Prerendered 3d graphics and super-annoying "MegaHost" - Lance Boyle. I picked it up as it was from the same seller as some of the more interesting game and only payed 5 USD for this one.

I think the most precious of all is System Shock. I did not expect to get one, as the prices on E-bay for this title are CRAZY (150-160 Eur), but then one such game was listed a local bidding service and I finaly got it for 25 USD equivalent.

And I think the most valuable game in this lot is sitting in the bottom row, second to the left...
By the way, System Shock is usually around 50 EUR in continental Europe.

I loved Megarace - it looks good, has a fantastic FM soundtrack, and was easy/fun enough for me to beat it back in the day. Always had a thing for 3D-rendered rail shooters though, which it essentially is. I thought the "host" character was perfect - in the first game. In all the sequels the directors just told him to "do what you did, only moreso" and the humor fell flat on its face.

twitch.tv/oldskooljay - playing the obscure, forgotten & weird - most Tuesdays & Thursdays @ 6:30 PM PDT. Bonus streams elsewhen!

That case is a real winner. That's also the case that I'm using to house my 386. It's ultra compact, yet still able to take almost full height AT cards.

Hey there,

I know this is a bit out of topic, as this is mostly a hardware forum, but I still wanted to share with you the PC games I got this December. Most of them I found pretty chepa locally, and some seem very collectable.

Another box 'o goodies came in:

NKGZvA6.jpg

Second Skywell Magic 3D II 12MB and an AGP ASUS Nvidia Riva TNT2 (I think).

The ASUS card is a Riva TNT. Likely late 1998. It would pair really nicely with that Voodoo2 in SLI doing 2D/3D duty in a 1998 build.

Interesting. ATI did a tremendous job adding a bus mouse to their line of video cards with the mouse.

A 133mhz socket 4 overdrive? Those are NOT common, and generally expensive. I'm envious!

Correct, glad to hear that. 😁 Always interested in uncommon/odd stuff 😀

Somebody else bid on that one? :-p

The attachment terra.jpg is no longer available

It will be my 1st daughterboard:
http://www.amoretro.de/2011/06/terratec-waves … 24-ver-2-0.html

Crystal seems to be missing, already ordered a replacement...

Terratec Soundcard and Soundblaster also looking interesting...

WTF?! 😕 The lot already arrived. I asked the seller to take care for the packing and he did it very well, every single card was packed in a newspaper.
Most cards look like new...but the most important one...looks like somebody did some soldering practice on it?!

Compare with this one...
http://www.amoretro.de/2011/06/terratec-waves … 24-ver-2-0.html

So I need some more parts than the crystal I already ordered....
Does anybody have this card? What caps do I need? Dont find a photo where I can see it?

The Terratec soundcard itself is in perfect shape..

😵 also not true. All Caps are missing on the soundcard. Maybe a failed restoration? But why...the card looks very clean and unused...

It's very likely that the card is dead anyway. See, if someone already soldered on it, it was broken before and someone tried to repair it. Whatever he did, he caused even more damage. While it's sad, I would toss the card and call it a day. It was probably sold as scrap for a reason. Otherwise, it would have been sold separately for good money.
