So i just finished a new project, a whole AT based computer in a small plastic UPS case.
Everithing works, i have played hours with it, and cooling is plenty.

So here are the specs:
AT motherboard. 68LX Socket 370 somekind of noname.
128MB RAM
Celeron 333
Low profile Nvidia Geforce MX440
Low profile ESS 1989 ISA sound, plus Dreamblaster S2.
Laptop floppy, with a self made converter cable.
SD-IDE
20GB IDE laptop HDD
Added PS/2 mouse and keyboard ports, also can use AT DIN keyboard. And a special usb port for those USB mouses that support PS/2 protocol. (I have many of those, and then i do not have to use a converter dongle.)
Added a IBM logo from a old broken Laptop.
Added a reset button.

Here are the pictures:

I am aroused about any X86 motherboard that has full functional ISA slot. I think i have problem. Not really into that original (Turbo) XT,286,386 and CGA/EGA stuff. So just a DOS nut.
PS. If I upload RAR, it is a 16-bit DOS RAR Version 2.50.

Nice work but do improve the situation about the hard drive before it cooks and clinks out as those little IBM drives can be dreadful just like the Desktop drives.

On a far away planet reading your posts in the year 10,191.

Underneath the hard drive besides the cpu grille is a vertical vent.
And the general vent in the side of box does hold everyting rotally cool.
It has even a third small vent inside a power suply. (Black sqare)
And i have this drive pulled from a broken laptop. And i have 4 of them, and all are in perfect condition, one is just noizy. And even when one fails. I will put another one in and load my Dos 7.1 configurantion and Dos software and games from a backup. Thats why the sd card slot is for 😉

Probably best to prevent it from becoming self aware.

No not beaver, but i have square oldschool 80s japanese boom box. And i want to make a small wooden computer case.

I started making them, just because room and space constraints.

But the VCR looks like a MSX computer, and that black UPS box looks like a thin client, and i have a super thin 486 in a DVD player box.

And i am just finishing a ASUS uATX barebones case, modified to take babyAT motherboard. I have gigabyte ga-486am/s that i hacked a 2 level turbo button. You can change turbo and even the FSB in live, and it has undocumented 20Mhz FSB. So a switcable 486-DX2 66 @ 40MHz. Plus turbo. It even makes Wolfenstein 3D Crawl.

I have a 4xKVM switch, and finally i want to use those small computers together in one desk. And smaller ones i can lug along, if i travel.
