I'm trying to restore functionality of my internal PC Speaker beyond just the POST beep using BeepX but I need the BEEP.SYS driver from Windows XP (32-bit) and I can't seem to find it anywhere.

BEEP.SYS should be in the i386 directory of WinXP installation cd-rom, in form of compressed BEEP.SY_ file.
Can be decompresed using EXPAND.EXE that resides in the very same directory.

There used to be a virus that destroyed Windows XP's BEEP.SYS and replaced it with itself, so that it could auto-load on startup. If you've come across a system missing BEEP.SYS, it's usually a sign that either the system had previously been infected, or else an unintelligent antivirus program misidentified XP's BEEP.SYS as an infection. But it could be OS corruption, sure.

You don't seem to know what he's trying to do. It has nothing to do with a corrupted file. 😉

I didn't understand that his host OS was not Windows XP, no, since I didn't know what BeepX was. Now I have done the research, and I know that his host OS is Windows 7 or newer.

Thanks for the help. Unfortunately BeepX does not seem to work with Win 7 64-bit and as such there is no way to restore PC Speaker functionality beyond that initial POST beep. x_x

What you need is BeepXP64
