Page numbers at the top of the page.....
Page numbers to the right of the topic for multi-page threads.....or at the very least a "Last" page link.
I know what you mean....its kind of odd to even have to enter a thread on the first page and then select the last page. Isn't there a way to have it so that it automatically goes to the page of the newest post?
Yeah, if you're looking at a list of threads, try clicking the icon at the far left (usually looks like this:
)
Should take you to the newest post in the thread.

Page numbers on the top of the page are actually useful, I made them on my forums and it's quite easy to do on phpBB.
