Too bad you have problems with BX2000+ as this board is great that blue color, Dual BIOS set up, IDE RAID and high quality of VRM caps and transistors...

Try this BIOS i think it was the latest, not sure some other guy from the forum did give it to me, on some older thread before..

As others did state, BX chipset do not handle very good Tualatin, still for me PGA 370 is useless if you can run on your slot 1 board Tualatin, the P3B-F is the very best for Tualatins, but the Gigabyte BX2000+ worth to waste time to make it work with Tualatin, as is great board, and can be used for fully blue retro system...

Thanks I'll try it - do you know wat release date is it? (file size is exactly the same as 2002 version I have...)

A very very skilled friend of mine found bios on some japan site and made some "programming magic" to it... I'll try it on monday... hope it will work...

No idea to tell you, but im sure the guy did have BX2000+ and was running Pentium 1.4 Tualatin (i think ?!?) as i was interested to know if that board is working with fastest Tualatin processors, and according to him it is.. Now why you have problems who knows, maybe the 370>Slot adapter is not good, maybe something is fishy on your Gigabyte MB or is the BIOS. But if can remember correctly he give me that BIOS and he state it is supporting 1.4 Tualatin with that exact BIOS...

BTW can you make one good picture of your BX2000+, as i don`t have picture of this board, in order to show it to other ppl so they can see what im looking for.

For example picture like this clear and very focused only on the board, thanks.

Edit

Ask agent_x007 he have that board running Tualatin Pentium, he will know...

OK no problem - I'll do the photo (I need it for my website anyway).

I'll let you know if that bios from you or from my friend worked... This is the last and one of the best slot 1 motherboard from Gigabyte so it should... in have to... it MUST work!

Well in my opinion this is one of the very best Slot 1 boards, that offer great visual look, great technology, great support and great build quality. Some can argue if the P3B-F is the Slot 1 king or this one, is hard to say, but as far as i know the P3B-F is superior in stability (for example the memory on P3B-F have unmatched compatibility) also running 1.4 tualatin CPU is in times more easy then on ABIT BE6 series or on this one... Still i like more the BX2000+... I have the Gigabyte BX2000, and the board is great, but on memory side well is not very good, most SDram modules just worn even post on this board...

The BIOS is from 2002 the very last beta one, as far i can remember, so the one your friend find is maybe modded one, as the latest official beta is the one i have...
Is nice to see you can find bioses and even drivers on the Gigabyte site for so old board 🤣 really nice of them, while the morons fromASUS did cut the support years ago.....

Yeah in your signature...
It will be interesting if someone compare ASUS P3B-F rev 1.04 vs latest Gigabyte BX2000+ rev. As both boards are top tier for Slot 1, as far as i know the ASUS win in terms of stability, compatibility and more easy to use, while the GIGA-Byte wins in visuals and features..
ABIT is the third good choice as BE6 series is capable of running Tualatin, but compared to the ASUS and Gigabyte boards is crap board, bad components quality, only 3 RAM slots and not the best compatibility, still it have IDE RAID...

Yeah BX2000+ pared with some adapter like yours blue one (or even better if there is blue Tualatin adapter..) blue SDram modules, or at least the heat sink to be blue, blue Gigabyte IDE cables, blue AGP card like for example Chaintech FX5900 XT, blue 3Dfx PROvideo SLI cards, blue ISA audio card i know there is some Miro Yamaha big ISA audio card that is Blue very nice... The Enermax Coolergiant series is nice, but too bad they have only Red or Gold colors, no Blue.... For PSU can be used a box of Fortron Blue Storm or Epsilon...

Very blue very Intel........ funny as im supporter of AMD/Radeon.....

Lol so many goodnes here....
But you need that adapter to work with BX2000+, as part of blue magic system...
That Voodoo 3 3000 is great for the build, as the Samsung server memory is nice, but it need x4 of that memory, and it better to be 512MB modules (not sure if the BX chipset was supporting 512MB modules). Still if not supports 512 modules x4 of these will have 1GB of SDram that will be more then enough...

I have also PQI 256MB module (or was 128 not sure) the PCB is blue.....

You just find Gigabyte Blue IDE cables, also the Voodoo 3000 is not good for Tualatin, the FX5900 series will be better, also they are made from the 3Dfx engineers so is about the same...

Now the PSU what to be a blue one, only one i did found to be a bit old and blue is EnermaX NOISETAKER 600W, but that is too much, but at least is blue....
Still i think a case from Blue storm will do better then that EnermaX...

We have a small progress.
Moded bios from my friend partially works... It recognize CPU's at last so there is"Pentium III (Tualatin) @1,4GHz) and it runs every second / third time... so now I have to find a proper memory...
So it seems that running tualatin 1.4 on this motherboard will be possible 😀

I'll keep you updated

You updated BIOS.
But, you know, there are two BIOS chips on this board.
So, have you updated both ?

PS. Board does work with Tualatin on beta from 2002 :

Yes of course 😀

That is also correct but it is not recognised ad Tualatin PIII and it does not work with full 1.4GHZ but "just" 1.05GHz - exactly as on your screen.
I managed to run it at 1.17GHz without any problem (FSB112)... but my goal is to run tualatin as it should be: 1.4GHz @fsb 133...

Now I have bios that recognizes it as it should and it boots (or better runs memory test and pass it and then normaly works) every second / third time...
My friend who modded bios for me will send me some "special" 😉 memory that he thinks it should work with...

Interesting is his picture have also speed under 1.4GHz what is the deal...
Also it will be nice if some of you upload picture only of the mobo itself, as i don`t have a single picture of it, there is none on the internet, at least not quality ones..

Soon (well after a month) i will have ASUS P3B-F hoping to be working (as the seller states it have boot problems some times at least he does not have a clue how to test properly things, so i hope it is from his memory or something else that is not the board..) bcuz if it not works i will be mad.... I also have Tualatin 1.4GHz, only thing missing is the Adapter, i will get with that mobo MSI adapter that when modded can run tualatins, and i will be ready to go..
