Not an easy job.
Cleaning rust is not enough, you need to make them electroplated (zinc, nickel, chrome, etc.) or painted (some black covers for example) again. Rust means the plating is nomore, so there is no corrosion resistance anymore, and it means it will rust again after cleaning the rust.
Furthermore, if you want the original shiny surface, after cleaning the rust, the part should be polished to the desired gloss before plating.
Cleaning the rust is possible with the use of rust cleaning chemicals (WD40 is the most popular), brushing, acid bath, etc.
