Hi.
I just left windows and trying a linux distribution now. First thing was to install goodold dosbox, which is without doubt a really nice program. Thanks for development. I really enjoy the good old games with dosbox.
But Im having a lot of trouble with the keyboard layout. Im from Germany and most all of the keys are with a different meaning than I can read on the keyboard's keys. Not much fun to search one key / the correct and needed one key out of 111 keys.
Is there any way to get plain german keyboard control? Just imagine...youre looking for a slash (on a german keyboard its by pressing shift and 7) but youll find it on the numerous block far away somewhere. Same problem with double punctuation. That would be shift and . Currently theres not just one key which produces a ":". So i cant switch to drive c for example.
I have tried the keymapper here. No go. If I remap a key, lets say /, it produces me 2 signs when typing it (- and / ). Furthermore there is no way to assign shift + . for example. Im trying since 2 hours now - please help ๐
The best would be, just to get full german keyboard support. The keymapper seems to be an enemy to me ๐
Regards,
Marcel
(Dont get me wrong, dosbox is a quite nice program!)
