In the pursuit of cataloguing Pentium 4 mobo with ISA slot(s), I found two models with quite reasonable prices: ITOX G4V621 and G4V620. Alas, the manual for both models says the following:

Expansion Slots
1 AGP slot that supports ADD (AGP Digital Display) card only
3 PCI slots (1 shared with ISA slot)
2 ISA slots

The G4V621's AGP slot is even covered by a sticker that says "for tlat panel daughter card only".

Both models are more affordable and easier to find than Soyo SY-845PE, but still aren't cheap either, so I hope I won't waste money on a mobo that doesn't support normal AGP card. Does anyone know whether ADD slot works with normal AGP card?

Never thought this thread would be that long, but now, for something different.....

most people refer to it as AGP, on some forum of another mainboard provider they say it would work AGP; i kinda doubt anyone would reimplement the wheel for this - although this may not have the same power delivery as real AGP - the devices for ADD have on simple little chip that is pasively cooled;

Hey Kresh,

No, this board doesn't work with an AGP card, been there done that. I tried it with an AGP card and it wouldn't boot. You'd need an ADD card to provide digital out from the integrated graphics. I vaguely recall using mine in 2010/11 with V2 SLI, but that's about it.

From faint memory, there may have been an Itox model which had AGP and ISA, but the models you've quoted weren't it i.e. it wasn't based on the 845GV chipset, but I'd have to dig a bit further to see whether that memory is correct!

Edit: looks like it was the G4E620-B-G, based on the 845E chipset:

I remember it now because that's what I ordered, and the dodgy seller sent me the G4V620! I disputed it but couldn't get a refund as return post would have cost 1/2 the board, this was in the days before eBay had comprehensive buyer protection and Paypal covered return post (2010).

I see! Thanks for the heads-up. Unfortunately, G4E620-B-G is pretty hard to find on ebay. Wonder if I would have better luck with Tualatin boards...
