Just mount the 1st CD properly, switch to that drive, install the game, and run it:

mount d f:\ -t cdrom -ioctl
(assuming F: is your cdrom drive)
d:
install
(autodetect SVGA - it should detect an S3 card)
(choose Sound Blaster 16 or AWE32 for digitised sound)
c:
cd \ds9harb
ds9

You'll want to use the dynamic core and increase the cycles to something like 50000. I also recommend you use a recent CVS build of DOSBox.

I've played it in DOSBOX. It works pretty well. You should look up DOS32A and replace the dos4gw.exe with dos32a.exe (rename dos32a to dos4gw). This will make the game more stable and a bit faster.

Otherwise just pick SB16 for sound. port 220, irq 7, dma 1. Or any Sound Blaster for that matter.

Have you also actually mounted a hard drive directory as your DOSBox C drive?
