Is that the definition of euphemism?
Very nice, congratulations 😉

Ha-ha-ha-ha 😊 I see, could have put that the other way around. But thanks!! 😉
These came in the mail today:
Not sure what to do with either.. I'm not sure what to do with the PR166 at all, for a 1997 chip it's fairly slow. As for the Voodoo 1, it would probably be wasted in my P133 DOS build, but would be too slow to replace the overkill SLI in my K6-2 build..

I think it would fit nice in your P133 build using it for DOS 3Dfx titles.

Well, I'm not very familiar with DOS 3dfx games, I know Tomb Raider and GLQuake will work - what else from around 1996 would be worth using this card for? Mechwarrior 2 perhaps, or was that for S3 only?
Mech2 had a 3dfx version but it was Win9x.
All hail the Great Capacitor Brand Finder
So basically Quake, Tomb Raider and Screamer 2?
FX fighter had glide? Or Virtua Fighter?
Descent 2 also. Descent 1 got a 3DFX fan patch but IIRC it was for Win95.

Carmageddon and Grand Theft Auto from 1997. Descent II from 1996 and more.
Not interested in the others, but isn't D2_3dfx Win9x only? I could swear it was..
GLQuake is Windows only as well, it's not for DOS.
Picked up this nice Upgradeware Slot-T adapter with PIII 1.4s for a good price
Just checked and yes GLQuake is Win9x only, however there is an official DOS glide version of Descent2 (D2VOODOO) that is different from D2_3dfx (which is Win9x only), so in essence for DOS only it's just Tomb Raider, Descent 2 and Screamer 2 that I'm interested in.
I suppose no DOS Glide patch for Terminal Velocity exists either?
There is a DOS 3dfx version of Dungeon Keeper if you are into that.
Dont have it in hand, but just bought a Ti 4200 on ebay for 16 bucks, seller only knew the model number, what a steal.
dammit was looking for a cheap one and I guess you found it before me
HP Z420 Workstation Intel Xeon E5-1620, 32GB, RADEON HD7850 2GB, SSD + HD, XP/7

I searched ebay, 10-25 dollars with keyword AGP, and just looking up model numbers for anything with a fan, thats how i find some of my cards
also acquired this list from another ebay listing. total cost 38 dollars shipped
GeForce GTX 260 (1) P651
Quadro FX 4500 (2) P348
Quadro FX 3450 (3) P317
Quadro FX570 (2) P588
Quadro NVS 420 (1) P737
Quadro K600 (1) P2012
Quadro FX 580 (3) P788
What i can tell is
GTX 260 = GTX 260
Quadro FX 4500 = 7800GTX with 512mb of slower GDDR3
Quadro FX 3450 = 6800GS PCIe
Quadro FX570 = 8600GS DDR2
Quadro NVS 420 = 8400GS
Quadro K600 = nothing, nothing else has this core config that's a geforce
Quadro FX580 = 9500GT
All in all not terrible for what i paid for them.

What better way to celebrate my 50th post here on Vogons than a good old boxed Roland? Uhh...two boxed Roland!!? Well, either way I'm not the man spitting on a relatively rare NIB/NOS item offered at a below "going rate" (from the Amibay..). Passing one of these to a fellow (retro) enthusiast leaving me one, though. That said, already had one of these SCM-10AT boxed babies along with their big brother, the mighty SCM-15AT, so she is definitely not going to feel her alone!! Not caring much about about wavetables inside but piling up some boxed Roland "intelligent mode" cards in one's inventory can only mean a good thing..
Very nice! DoReMix is fun software, years ago I borrowed the Sound Canvas multipack from my school - it's in a similar box to that but it included Cakewalk Express.

Nice to hear! Usually I haven't paid much attention to bundled software but I need to check out it then. Thanks for the tip!
