I bought this case the other day because it was different an selling for really cheap.
It's a 20th anniversary Lian Li case.

Now I don't know what to do with it?

What do you think I should build with it ?

It's really BIG and Tall !

Does anyone have any info about this case?

Is it suppose to be a snail or sea shell ?

What was the philosophy behind the creation of this case ?

I remember when that case came out and the reviews for it.

People were like.... what were they thinking? 😕

Since it looks like a snail, I think a socket 423 Pentium 4 system would be perfect for it. 🤣

Whilst I'm a fan of Lian Li cases, you do have to wonder sometimes what they're smoking in the design concepts department (apart from the snail does anyone remember the spider, the train or the yacht). There was a later matx version of this full tower snail case which had better proportions, but it's definitely an acquired taste. Not sure I'd use it as is, but would be looking to (heavily!) mod it in some way. Suppose you could turn it into a mail server for the ultimate in Snail Mail (badum tish)

Is it a snail or some type of horn instrument ?
I could put my Terratec sound cards into it and turn it into an Terratec Audio Creation studio ?
I could fit it with internal speakers with woofer.
Or just turn it into a mail box.
Or I could fit it with Internal speakers and use it as a Music box.

There is a type of exhaust fan that looks like this (and it's called snail fan here) and it's used mainly as a dedicated fan for a hood that you prepare food under it (in restaurants for example).
It looks terrible , personally I'd just sell it 🤣 🤣 🤣

This one is up there for dumb/ugly case designs.

I like how they didn't even bother with a 3.5" external bay. You have to use an adapter like on those old school AT towers.

I remember on those old towers it was also common to not use (or lose) the plastic bottom tray. Just pray you don't lose the one for the snail case, or your PC is going to give itself a face plant.

Been digging around to see what year the case is from. As far as I can see, the case is from August 2005.
Why not do something period/era correct, plus/minus a year. Like the Asus A8N-SLI-Premium or Deluxe?
Put in some GF7-SLI and a do a RAID-0 for performance. Possible "cheat" the era correct and go for GF8-SLI.

Don't eat stuff off a 15 year old never cleaned cpu cooler.

I think I might stuff my Terratec audio drives in it and I have some motherboards.

I have a Asus Nvidia SLI mobo with Core-2-Quad CPU or I could put an 1155 i5-3470 CPU and Mobo in it.

What do you think?

I can go Win2000 or XP ?
