My bios is dated 1996, i lack boot to CD and lack support for drives over 8gb, anyone have a more modern bios. Will any i430HX bios work?

Try the updated BIOSes here first.

Edit: In response to your question, the only BIOSes that are likely to work on your board will be those that were written explicitly for this board.
