Hello,
could someone recommend me better VGA cooler that is clunky original cooler for my X800 XL GV-RX80L256V GPU?

I need something with bigger / better heat-sink and maybe even possibility to easy add 80 mm or 92 mm Noctua silent fan.

Im asking because in that age, lots of vendors used different cards design, so alternative heat-sink compatibility was issue.

Present heatsink:

I did as some work around no top side - 80 mm (anything smaller its noisy), but it hold on only 2 screws and syrface is not flat and sometimes its making noise, because some small movement.. Its better than nothing but its not good. I somewhere some kit to use 80mm fan in case slot.. but there would be space, its not ideal too.

I bought Thermaltake Fanless VGA Cooler CL-G0003 for my Geforce 6 card and its other level, so i want something like that. Here is plenty space for 4 screws, if fan would be needed.

BTW some of these old cards have already burned memory chips, is there some VRAM memory test for Dos, Win98 or WinXP? I have 1 for Windows 7. i mean something like Memtest for VRAM - which will try all memory ranges, not Furmark etc - artifact hunting.

I tried to remove that Thermaltake cooler from G7900 and its without problems fits to this Gigabyte X800 XL cards..

BTW ATI X800 is from my experience more pure DOS and Win98 compatible than Geforce 5/6/7 card, so it was good choice.

I also added small heatsinks on memory chips, im not sure but some of them maybe was be cooler by original heatsink, some of them wasnt, lets hope that it will not melt..
