Are there any major differences / graphics issues if using a Voodoo2 on games originally made for a Voodoo1? Thimking of putting a Voodoo2 in my Pentium 233 machine with Win 98 on it, and taking the Voodoo1 and installing in a Pentium 100 machine I am going to build with Windows 95. Both machines would play some games made when Voodoo1 was out before the Voodoo2 came out

Thanks!!

Many early games for the Voodoo 1 require a patch to run with later Voodoos.

By early, are we talking 1995-96 games or newer?

The Pentium 1 I am gonna build should take care of thsoe with the Voodoo1 in it...

While most V1 games won't exploit the V2 to the fullest, you'll at least notice a video filter difference as V2 uses a single pass 4x1 without adding lines to everywhere so there's at least a bit more clarity.

Hey with Carmageddon you don't want to use a Voodoo1 anyway. You actually want to get out a Voodoo3 to really get it to run well. 😀

I dont have my Voodoo3 in any machines right now, so I will have to go with the 1 or 2 SLI for that.
