I had a hunch it was fake. Windows Update wasn't around in Windows 3.11. In fact, it wasn't around until Windows 98 IIRC.

At first, I thought maybe you coded a fake Windows Update program with VB, but it turned out to be photoshopped as you've confirmed later on.

When Windows Update was released, you could access it on Windows 95 (and I believe Windows NT 4) by going to windowsupdate.com. 😀 It just wasn't shipped with it at the time.
