Im trying to run Final Fantasy VIII on Windows XP the problem I am having is SEVERE black spots in the textures during the game. I am running an Nvidia Geforce fx 5600 video card and the game keeps telling me theres no 8bit palette. There was a patch released for the game that supposedly fixed errors with GeForce cards however it didnt work. I installed the patch 3 times . Anyways if someone could help me out it would be much appreciated.

The videos work perfectly its the actual gameplay that has the black spots.
