I have compiled a heavy debug version of DosBox, when i start Dosbox the debug window appears correctly. My problem is that i can't stop the game and enable the debugger by pressing the PAUSE key as stated in the guide in the Guides forum!

I am using a danish keyboard layout, and checked the bindings with the keymapper (CTRL-F1) and it says the PASUE key is binded to Pause.

What am i doing wrong, or is there somthing i have to change to get this to work?

Thanks in advance

As an update i can tell that if i go into the keymapper and chooses for example, the 'W' key and want to push 'Add' and then hit my PAUSE key then nothing happens? Its like DosBox does'nt know my PAUSE key?

The layout around the PAUSE key looks like this:
_______ ______ ______
|Prt Scr| | Scroll| | Pause|
Sys Rq | | Lock | | Break|
---------- --------- ---------

Anyone with some idea?

What OS do you use? What dosbox version?

You could try to build the CVS sources and set the
dosbox.conf entry usescancodes to true (might
work or not).

Here is my basic installation:

Windows XP Pro US-En language with Danish Keyboard layout
Intel Pentium 4 3.6GHz
1024 MB DDR RAM

My harddisk is formatted with NTFS.

I will try doing the usescancoed and see what it will do!

I do not see any entry named UseScanCodes in my .conf file, should i just make an entry under [dosbox] called UseScanCodes=true ?

See the CVS thread (look in my signature below) for a link to info on how to generate a new .conf file. If you do this with a recent CVS version it should include that new option.
