Hey everyone,

Since there are quite a bunch of Vogons that produce a number of instructional, educational or entertaining videos, I think it might deserve a thread of its own, where you can post a link to your newest video, playlist or channel. Instead of cluttering other subforums or having it scattered in multiple threads.

Are you guys ok with that?

I'll start off in a minute with my own channel, and feel free to introduce yourself as well!

Alphabetical list of Vogons Video Channels:

3dfx Aslinger - 3dfx videos
c:\90s_tech - retro PC hardware and software
Al's Geek Lab - Retro Games and Hardware
Dave just Dave - Retro tech
Digilogue Collection - Vintage Computer Reviews and Computing History
elianda - Demo and DOS games, capturing on real hardware
Falcosoft - MIDI related stuff
KPH - PC Retro Builds
Retro Computing Bloke - Vintage Hardware and Software
PCRetroTech - PC Retro Tech 😀
retrospector78 - retro PCs, retro gaming, PCs, Amiga
root42 - Soldering old and new hardware, Let's Code MS DOS tutorials
Soundcard Database - Soundcard comparisons and everything sound
Speedy SPC Fan - Retro Game Music and Synthesizers
The 90s! Retro Gaming - Name says it all!

Hi,

So my channels are root42 and root42plus.

I solder smaller projects that I find on the web, document my retro PC builds and review my favorite games of my childhood.

On the second channel I put up bonus content, raw capture footage, without me annoyingly talking over music and stuff.

Hoppe you enjoy!

Nice initiative, and a great idea.
Although I don't post new content very frequently at the moment (working on the AdLib documentary) my YT channel is The Sound Card Database, and I post videos about sound cards and music in video games...

Latest : The OPL2LPT
Fan-Favourite : DUNE soundtrack played by 3 sound cards, merged together.

I plan for this channel to be accompanied by a wiki-like website in the future. Prototype is in the works, but stalled behind other projects.

The more sound cards, the better.

I've seen surprisingly few hits from vogons on youtube links, like 1-5 over the first month isn't uncommon in some cases. Even non-retro forums have tended to react more enthusiastically to retro content. Of course, if you have a small community, there's only so much traffic it can generate, but...

Some content is likely more lucrative than others to share here, so probably should compile statistics on that as well.

I think this thread will need for the op to maintain a curated list of some kind at the top. Not many will see the middle 95% of a thread of random videos.

Good idea. I will collect an ordered list of channels at the top post. But people are free to post new videos and channel announcements at the bottom.

Oh, that will be a bit too much work and too much for one thread I think. I just wanted a place where people can say: Hey look, i made something new. Similar to the hardware and activity threads.
