I think it's exaggerated clean room garments for employees that manufacture the CPU's.

There's been some really awesome stuff posted here lately. I guess I'll add a few things to it that I've found in the last couple months...
Asus V6600 Deluxe Geforce 256
Geforce 3 Ti 500
Diamond Stealth 64 Video VRAM (Vision968)
Diamond Stealth 3D 3000 (Virge VX)
Creative CT6750 Voodoo Banshee
Diamond Monster Sound MX300
SoundBlaster AWE64
SIIG Enhanced IDE multi-IO adapter
YUAN JRS-3DS100 (NV1 😀 )The vast majority of these are 100% working. I haven't listed most of the stuff that is in need of repair.
Why are they missing brackets? 😕

Awesome! I was doubtful at first, but the card is worth every penny. Absolute smooth experience, works both in DOS and Windows just perfectly.
Some of my recent purchases 😀
P3 1400
NIB Graphics card
A small laptop, Fujitsu Lifebook B110
Socket 8 motherboard with ppro 200 and 128mb ram
An awesome case with some random s7 stuff inside.
to be continued..
...
AT-Clone, sadly not booting, can't find any info on jumpers and switches either.
Eizo CRT, sadly not really working, got it to power up twice, but after that it's dead. 😒
Got a used IBM PC330 motherboard with riser to put in my dead 2144 s7 case. 😎
I think that was it 😁
SL28R, week 41 of 1997, so this has been an expensive Pentium II. It will be installed on my soon to arrive Asus P2L97, which will form the basis for my new DOS system that replaces my slow Pentium Overdrive system.
Bought the following during my thrifting adventures (rainy day):
NEC MultiSync 1850e monitor with dual VGA ports (this'll be perfect for my Windows 98SE machine with 2 GPUs inside) for $4.99 which could use some cleaning, otherwise is good shape
NIB SIIG I/O Controller Board Game Port/Serial Extension A.3 (never opened, still sealed) for $5.99
A Kensington Mouse-in-a-box (Serial and PS/2 with the adapter to convert from Serial to PS/2) for $2.99
Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri in fantastic shape for $0.10
Almost purchased a Compaq Presario 1650, but, I don't think my Compaq charger would fit in the charger port and I have no idea how much it is (cash only for that place).

Oh my. That tower case makes me moist.
It is a mistake to think you can solve any major problems just with potatoes.
Just got this as a part of a (overpriced!) lot...: 😢
Dont know if this was a good deal, but this one
http://www.vgamuseum.info/index.php/cpu/item/ … ima-ultima-plus
seems to be quite cool and unique.
Whats the upper card? Ethernet? There are 3 of them...anybody recognizes the logo with the dots?

I'm really looking forward to testing it out! I just got home from a belated Thanksgiving dinner at a friend's place yesterday which saw me staying overnight due to overindulgence. 😁 Pounding headache but I wanna put some time aside to install some of my old Sierra games and let 'er buck.

Because some people would rather destroy very valuable old computer equipment for 50 cents worth of gold than take a few minutes to look them up and see what they're really worth. Thankfully I got these before they were damaged any further. The brackets were already gone though sadly.

This community is fortunately awesome at preventing at least some of that irreparable damage from happening.
As for me, nothing very retro - bought a couple more Gotek floppy emulators, have a few extra systems those can go in now.
I/O, I/O,
It's off to disk I go,
With a bit and a byte
And a read and a write,
I/O, I/O

Definitely! I'm not going to pretend that I can afford to save everything just for the sole reason of saving it (I frequently resell items after fixing them up and testing them), but it does feel good to make an uncommon item usable again.
Today I purchased a new-looking Logitech C7 serial mouse, with the original box, to go with my IBM 5150. It is much more period correct than the MouseMan I'm using now. It was fairly cheap too. Can't wait to get it!

I have one of those mice but no drivers. Can you upload the drivers ?
Got this board for few € some days ago, sold as a potential dud. Worked fine on first try 😁
Needs a clean though, it has a layer of hard dust on it that won't come off easily.
T-04YBSC, a new YMF71x based sound card & Official VOGONS thread about it
Newly made 4MB 60ns 30pin SIMMs ~
mida sa loed ? nagunii aru ei saa 😜
That is one ghetto test bench. 😎
Literally another motherboard underneath, and an HDD too?? I'm surprised it's not shorting any traces. (Maybe the layer of hard dust helps prevent that...)
Got an Altec Lansing ADA880 speaker system today.
4.1 speakers.
Back... top speakers are removable.
The bases for the top speakers which allow you to use them in a 4.1 configuration.
Giant subwoofer!
Connections for the sub
All setup! Has a really cool volume indicator. Gonna use them as my primary speakers and move ACS495 to retro/2nd system duties.

Sure! I'll post them here somewhere after I get the mouse. If you don't get a PM from me by this coming weekend, send me a PM to jog my memory.
