Hi folks,
I got a now defective original AdLib (the PCB is dated 1987!), which I bought a few (... more like 15) years back on a flea market for beans, when these things had practically no value. Originally it worked, but then shortly after I bought it we cannibalized the volume potentiometer from it for another project. The rest of the card is untouched, and was lying in a box ever since.
Recently I found it, and had the idea to revive it if possible. And then maybe even build a small 286 or 386sx config around it. We'll see! 😀 This earlier AdLib repair topic here at Vogons was a great source of info, but I cannot seem to locate the required potentiometer for it. Anyone has any idea where to get the part (or an equivalent replacement for it)? I'm not an electronics guy, but I could get the soldering done, but I spent a day or so looking for the part online, but I couldn't find it (or it's maybe just not obvious for me that a given part would be a good replacement). According to the other topic it's a "10K audio volume control pot from Bourns".
Anyone has an idea where to get this thing? Or is it even still possible to get it? Thanks!
