I'm looking for a low memory DOS mouse driver which doesn't have that awful mouse acceleration. I tried cutemouse, works fine but has very high mouse acceleration. I saw a topic at this forum describing you can tweak some cutemouse settings to lower the acceleration, but it's still there.

Early Microsoft mouse drivers are ok, but use up to 30kb of memory.

I've been really happy with Logitech mouse driver with cloaking.exe to load it in XMS (only 1kb of conventional memory after loading cloaking), but that only works in my Pentium II PC with 384 MB ram. On my 512 MB RAM PC, cloaking reports there is too much memory. I also can't load the logitech mouse.exe high via the normal LH way, that's why I use cloaking.exe.

So, does anyone know of a mouse driver without acceleration or a way to use cloaking on high memory PC's? Are there downsides to using cloaking anyway?
