So I recently moved and have all my worldly posessions scattered about the floor in my room (not that they usually aren't). I decided to connect my smallish TV (around 19-20 inches diagonal) via a VCR to the TV-Out of my Radeon 9800 Pro and temporarily use it in lieu of my second monitor.

I experimented overnight with recording a DVD rip of a movie to a VHS tape, and this morning played some games on it (Quake 4 was most interesting - free FSAA in exchange for a loss of fine detail). I also tried DOSBox; it would be interesting if there were a way to make it let the TV handle color for composite mode, but I don't know if it's possible.

Before I disconnect it I thought it might be fun to solicit ideas from you people on what else to try.

I have my laptop under the tv (where you usually put your VCR), and it's a new tv so it supports high resolutions. It's really neat, I like to watch movies/tv shows I download independently from "what's on tv today". It's also cool for DOSBox.

I'm actually thinking of buying an XBox, modding it and connecting it to my wireless LAN for streaming video from my PC's hard drive to the TV in my living room. I've heard they have decent software for that now.
