Received my units Yesterday, Thank You. So far I only tested a gold unit as we are renovating the house and I don't have access to all my computers. Thank You once again for your efforts in this endeavour

Got mine too! Now waiting for some RAM to stick in it...
Mine came in yesterday. At first, I was having problems with it, but after reinserting my memory stick, it works perfectly now.
Thanks for this wonderful project, dreamblaster.
I wonder if there is still stock to order?

As suggested by dreamblaster earlier today, here I am freshly and finally registered. I was looking for the best way to extend the memory on both a CT4500 and a CT4390 last night. Much and much googling and reading to finally discover the original SimmConn project, and land here, once again when I'm searching for old hardware informations. Big surprise for me to find a fellow compatriot has been able to produce quality ones. No way to think too much, and 2 orders later (first one cancelled by Serge due to my lack of sleep, damn POD game !), a value one and a gold one has already been sent to me.
As soon as I'm able to test, I'll get back to explain everything and the result. Wonderful community I've found here, and there's no way I just sit and read. I wanna be a part of it ! 😘
Bye guys, see you all soon.
And dreamblaster, once again, thank you for everything !!!

Welcome to this site, sit down relax and read a lot. There is a treasure of information here but you have to dig deep to find it.
As for the SIMMCONN, I have a value one connected to my AWE64 value - it was one of the last sold by the original author before he ran out of stock a few years ago. I'm happy to see that they are in production again. I may want to expand my AWE64 park at some point. 😀
I/O, I/O,
It's off to disk I go,
With a bit and a byte
And a read and a write,
I/O, I/O

So frustrating ! 🙁 Received my 2 daughterboards this morning, but both soundcards and RAM are still on their way... Won't be able to test before the end of the week I guess.
Interesting 2 adapters! 😮
Just placed an order for 2 simmconn gold adapters. Excited to receive them 😀
Sigh, I want to cry. Simmconn so expensive ($95 AUD)
I'll have to mull it over some more, see if I can convince myself
Last week, I installed a Simmconn Value adapter with a 32 MB edo ram stick, and it works like a charm! Great way to make more use of the AWE64, as 512 kB was not really impressive.
late! 😀 finally had some time to continue here. Works like charm! Thanks again for your efforts @dreamblaster

2 gold version Simmconn's received yesterday. Looking forward to testing them out. Just waiting on some ram to arrive from the US. Thank you! 😀
What would be a nice soundfont to store in a 32mb(24mb) ram module? Would it sound as good as a sc55?
