The game runs slow on Dosbox 6.3. I did my homework and I read that you would need to get the CVS to make the game run smoother.

But I see two builds, one is from gulikoza and other, from ykhwong. Which one would work better for WC3?

And how do I play WC3 on SVGA instead of VGA?

Thank you for your help

Either one will work well. They both basically include the same patches but depending on how they were compiled there may be slight differences in speed. It really doesn't matter. IIRC, gulikoza's is the most recent and probably includes the latest revision of the scalers patch so you should download that one.

I tried gulikoza's one. Can finally play WC3 on SVGA color but the game still runs at the same speed. Am I missing something?

Have you changed the cycles, switched to dynamic core?

By editting dosbox.conf in your DOSBox folder.

Change the line core=normal to core=dynamic

Dynamic core would crash the game periodically for me. I gave up on DOSBOX for WC3 and built a Pentium Pro.
