SB AWE64 MIDI player not working ?

My install of SB AWE64 is not playing MIDI files.
The error reads that the MIDI play is not compatible with sound card ?

I have a SB AWE64 Value ISA card
I used an original install disk.

Everything installed fine.
I am using Windows 95c.

Everything works but MIDI playback.
And my AWE configurator program will not load ?
I think the error message was NO compatible sound card found ?

Midi in dos window or native win95? What happens when you load awe control panel? Can you load soundfonts?

No, Sound Fonts don't load and AWE control panel will not start.
error message was NO compatible sound card found ?
MIDI player in Win95c loads but NO sound.
everything else works fine.
Just NO MIDI playback sound.
