Hello! I am a first time poster to this forum, and I really appreciate you help. I recently received an old AOpen VI15G motherboard that I am going to use to build a retro PC for DOS gaming. I am trying to figure out if this motherboard will support a 100 Mhz DX4 processor or not. All of the original documentation for this motherboard references only up to a 66 Mhz processor, but several forum posts say that some of these motherboards can accommodate the different voltage of the DX4. What specific things can I look for on my motherboard to determine if I can use the DX4 processor or not? I have attached a high level picture of the motherboard, but I can provide a close up of any areas that are needed.

Thanks again!

Thank you for the quick reply. I have read that thread you linked to before and there were a couple of things that I questioned. First, that person said that their board had a label on it that said "VI15DX4", but mine doesn't have that label, at least not anymore. So, I didn't know if mine was the same board or not. Second, one of the responders in that post said that the presence of the voltage regulator indicated that the mother board could use both processor types. Is the voltage regulator the two black items sticking out of the board to the left of the processor in the above picture?

yes, sorry for not mentioning it in the first place, your board is clearly 3V ready
