Obviously the caps are all OK, as seen on the pic 😉

Caps work better when they bulge, right? Like a pop up tent?

It's obvious really, they are bulging with power.
Flat ones are, like batterys, depleted.

And if yours for some reason lack the bulge, badcaps has a handy list so you can get new ones:
http://www.badcaps.net/store/product_info.php … 7&products_id=9
What they dont mention tho is that any cap thats in the expansion slot area should be 15mm or less in height or it can foul any expansion cards.
I only know that cause I had a close call on my recent KG7 recap =)

(oh and incase someone finds this thread wondering about recaps, capacitors should obviously not be bulging 😉

If you feel comfortable picking out the right capacitors yourself, you can get them quite a bit cheaper elsewhere. Don't get me wrong, I really like the bundles badcaps put together and it's a really nice convenient service they're offering with them. It's just if you can sort your way through something like digikey's catalog, you can get an equivalent selection of premium caps for about half the price of that bundle.

Not exactly “today” but 2019 so far

2x Matrox G400 Max
2x ti4600 (someone dumped 30 cards for 30 a piece a little while ago)
3x promise s150 cards

Basically just buying good stuff when I see a big recycling company dumping on ebay below individual seller prices.

I can hear The Secret of Monkey Island music right now. I'm planning on setting up my 486 with the Yamaha DB50XG externally, the FB-01, and MT-32 on my Music Quest MPU401 clone card.

Nice. I am also planning to set up a 386 with the original (now heavily yellowed) case that I had back in '94 and the MT-32. I do not have an MPU401 card though.

An IPC MediaMagic Telemetry-32 soundcard/modem.

Supposed to have onboard wavetable as well. And looking at it, I bet those two large ROM chips confirms it. Just have to wait for it to get here and find drivers.

Original price was $399 I think. from what I could find. Maybe $299.

roms_model_number.jpg

Edit: Found the drivers.

Here are a few links that mention this card:
https://books.google.com/books?id=eMKimy4DFaE … etry-32&f=false - This one actually shows a breakdown of what it supports.

https://books.google.com/books?id=hzgEAAAAMBA … ry%2032&f=false

Interesting and rare DSP-based sound card. I found only one other owner:
OPTI 82C950
OPTi MAC32 chipset 82c950

How good is wave table and OPL3 emulation?

My 4MB Millennium II arrived today. What a sweet surprise - it includes the 4MB daughter board already attached. Not bad for < $2 😀

Is this from that warehouse down in Texas? Most excellent finds. If you happen to come across any ITT system hardware, docs or disks I would be very interested in knowing about it. I archived the system disks for the ITT Xtra system already here, but would like to archive more ITT system software if possible. Looks like you're going to be busy for awhile.

Yep! Computer Reset in Dallas. However, for anyone who wants to visit, it is rumored that it is going to shut down soon, so visit while you can.

Man! That's a lot of equipment you got there. It was probably hard to get that stuff into your house 🤣

🤣, it is residing in my garage at the moment with my HP 9000 system and my DEC MicroVAX. It's a seperate air-conditioned garage though, so it is being stored properly. I hope to set up the AT system today and get it running.

Pretty spectacular haul there.

Mine somewhat less so, but nice nonetheless:

Two Unisys-branded Mouse Systems optical mice, with appropriate mouse mat.
