I was pretty stoked to find these today. 3850 AGP and a Gainward ti4200 128MB. Here's hoping they work.

I came across one of those 3850 cards as well. Its supposed to be one of the best consumer AGP cards. Just make sure you have a PSU with an 8 pin connector. Also make sure the jumper on the card is set to the correct region (NTSC/PAL). This might help with the thermals, as (my card at least) gets very hot.
Posting for bragging rights and because I have some questions about these two cards:
I found a scanned manual (if you can call it that) for the ATI card, but it doesn't explain what the DIP switches 5-8 are for, or what is the purpose of the 6-pin connector in the right upper corner. Anyone knows?
The 4-pin connector is composite output, but mono. So actually luma only, not composite, stricly speaking. Before anyone mentions possible NTSC vs PAL issues, no, there isn't even color carrier in the signal, I checked. The pinout is (top to bottom): 12V, key (missing pin), video, ground.
I haven't been able to find any manuals for the ES688 that would match this model. There's way too many jumpers to be trying all combinations... help?
I believe the purpose of the header is for making an internal monitor connection, such as on the IBM 5155 luggable computer.

The important jumper deets are screen printed onto the card, why do you need to mess with the others? Is it not working?

Just went to go test these cards in my AthlonXP rig. Doesn't have 8-pin 😒
My other AGP computer is my socket 7 compter which has an 8-pin PSU. I am not about to pair that computer with the 3850.
The ti4200 seems to work okay. I only checked that it POSTs and doesn't artifact in the BIOS. $6 for both of them was a heck of a deal even if they're broken.

I have that same exact GAINWARD GF4 ti4200 video card, but i missed bidding on the ATI HD3850 as shown here because i totally forgot to check it when it was down to its final hours.... but i do have one like it already, but the IceQ 3 model, HIS Turbo AGP8X retail boxed version.

Hm, could be. But there's 5 pins (one of the 6 is a key = missing pin) and 3 out of that are +12V, ground, +5V. That leaves 2, one of which I traced to a PAL chip. So at most it would be some auxilary signals, not the full video output I think.

Haven't tested yet, was sold to me as working. I think I can get the audio part working on my own eventually but there are 4 CD-ROM connectors on this card. I was rather hoping the IDE one could be used for something interesting like a second CF card maybe - but before I start messing around with it I'd like to be sure it's actually properly set up and working.

From what I can gather from the picture, it seems to have come with a 750/256/100 processor.
I have gathered two of these boards as well, as spare parts for whenever something goes awry. I am using the Vectra as Yamaha synth PC with all kinds of Yamaha synth and studio cards and wanted some backup motherboards. My board runs a 800/256/100 processor without issues, considering it's lett TDP than the original CPU these boards came with (550/256/100, I believe)

Yeah, It's a fine board. I also have a working and a (probably) dead one with it's original a 500MHz Katmai and network card.
I'm planning get it's original case and beef it up with with a PCI Matrox G450 I already have.
My only problem is the lack of AGP ports.

Came as a single lot - the one pictured had a passive P3 750/256/100 SL4BZ (spotted by @jaZz_KCS) and 256MB of Micron PC100, the other with a P3 500/512/100 SL35E & active Intel cooler and a single 128MB stick of no name PC100. Both P3s were mis-reported by the out of date bios, but I got the latest official one and all the support drivers / utils off the HP ftp site. There is a modded bios to fix the 33GB hdd limit which I may try later.
Ahh, nice fast Slot-1 CPU, those are getting rare.. The fastest I have is a 700, though I do have Socket 370 P3 850/256/100 and Celeron 900/128/100 I could use with a Slocket I suppose..
Got this '92 K208 Monterey keyboard. Nothing fancy, just rubber dome with slider, but it was worth getting for its Alps-compatible keycaps and 7U spacebar - 4 bucks

I would like 1000/100 slot1 cpu since a long time, actually i use the much more popular 1000/133
