Yep, 4 x SL4XY (PIII Xeons @ 900Mhz). 2Gb ram (maxed as much as it can be!).
Intel486dx33 wrote:What graphics cards does it have ?
It doesn't, both the 320 and 540 use SGI's Cobalt graphics chipset. It's integrated into the system, takes bespoke RAM modules (prone to dying) and allows you to assign as much ram to vram as you want. Also, since it is integrated, it can copy (blit) buffers to and from GL instantaneously which makes it good for video (textures) and absolutely excels absolutely 2D performance (image manipulation etc). I used to show it off by loading massive NASA jpgs (90mb jpegs!) and being able to smoothly and effortlessly drag them and crop/paste them.
It is fully GL 1.2 compliant although 3D is CPU limited and not quite as good as it's nVidia contemporaries after about a year on market so didn't fair so well. Also the entire design team for Cobalt was 'let go' slightly before, or during launch. Well done SGI 😒

It's like late 90's workstation loud, so not quiet, but not like server farm loud. Of course it is a workstation and designed for such. Volume wasn't top priority in those days.

Not as loud, but you know when it is on 😉.

It would be nice to see some high resolution photos.
Will do next time I drag it out. As you can see it needs a clean. 🤣
